Karate for Kids is designed for children ages 7 to 12. The program uses the same monthly themes as the Tiny Tigers program. Positive
reinforcement and awards systems are also incorporated. As children advance, so does the curriculum. More advanced students
are allowed to participate in activities such as board breaks and point sparring. The ATA recognizes that students begin Taekwondo
training for many different reasons. Instructors work to inspire children to be the best Martial Artists that they can be.
Although competition is inherently a part of Taekwondo, emphasis is not on winning and losing, but instead it is focuses on
personal self-improvement.
